ESL FACEIT Group and Qualcomm Technologies Expand Competition with Record-Breaking Prize Pool
Cologne/New York/San Diego – April 5, 2024 – ESL FACEIT Group (EFG), the world leader in esports and video game entertainment, and Qualcomm Technologies Inc. join forces to unveil an ambitious roadmap for year three of the Snapdragon Pro Series. This massive mobile esports league continues its reign as the biggest of its kind, boasting a prize pool reaching nearly USD $4.4 million across Seasons 5 and 6. From budding players to seasoned veterans, competitors will clash in seven of the most popular mobile titles, thanks to partnerships with top publishers like Activision Publishing, Inc., MOONTON Games, and Supercell.

Building on a Resounding Success
This expansion comes after a triumphant year two for the Snapdragon Pro Series. Year two witnessed a staggering 13,200% year-over-year increase in facilitated matches, reaching nearly 1 billion in total. Additionally, global sign-ups skyrocketed to 4.4 million, with players hailing from regions across Asia, North America, Latin America, and Europe. Mobile esports viewership also surged, with fans logging a remarkable 23.7 million hours watched, a 231% year-over-year increase. These remarkable achievements were fueled by a series of firsts, including the introduction of Latin America as a new competitive region, groundbreaking stadium events in India and Indonesia, and the integration of the global Call of Duty®: Mobile esports circuit into the Snapdragon Pro Series.
A Glimpse into Year 3
Year 3 of the Snapdragon Pro Series promises a packed calendar of global competition. Kicking off in April with Mobile Opens across various titles, the season culminates with the prestigious Mobile Masters in 2025. This year’s championship welcomes Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) as a Masters-level title in Southeast Asia, a region experiencing a phenomenal year-over-year mobile gaming consumption growth of 100% for the past four years. The Snapdragon Pro Series has a proven track record of success in this region, with its July 2023 MLBB competition captivating over 1 million viewers and shattering attendance records.
Year 3 also brings exciting developments with existing partners. The Snapdragon Pro Series Gears up to strengthens its partnerships with MLBB developer MOONTON Games and Brawl Stars developer Supercell. Additionally, the Call of Duty®: Mobile esports circuit returns for another year, offering fans a smorgasbord of competitive action across three of the most popular mobile titles.
A Look at Key Title Updates
- Brawl Stars: Through a multi-year partnership with Supercell, the Snapdragon Pro Series assumes the role of the official global operator for the Brawl Stars Championship. Players from over 190 countries can now vie for glory in the competition, with matches already underway. An exciting live last-chance qualifier will be held in August, granting players additional avenues to qualify for the World Finals later this year.
- MLBB: In collaboration with MOONTON Games, MLBB makes a triumphant return to the Snapdragon Pro Series with fresh competitions. Mobile Open qualifiers commence as early as April 8th in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Top teams will battle for a coveted spot in prestigious international MLBB competitions like Mobile Masters, Esports World Cup, and more. The Snapdragon Pro Series’ MLBB circuit also introduces its first tournament dedicated to top female competitors. This online tournament invites Southeast Asian players to compete for a chance to participate in the MLBB Women’s Invitational at the Esports World Cup this summer.
- Garena Free Fire: The action continues in Year 3 with Garena Free Fire returning to the Snapdragon Pro Series. Mobile Open qualifiers kick off in Latin America later this year, offering players new pathways to international events. Stay tuned for further details.
